For pneumonia and bronchitis with a persistent, hard, dry, hacking cough and chest pain or sensitivity. The cough is worse from cold air, drafts, talking, and lying down, and often wakes the person around 3–4 am with wheezing or shortness of breath.

200C twice daily during pneumonia. 200C, preferably in liquid, every other day for bronchitis; taper as breathing and cough improve.
