Arsenicum Album (white arsenic)
Arsenicum album

A critical remedy for spreading skin infection, lymphangitis, or threatening sepsis from neglected or infected cuts, scrapes, and bites. Helpful when the wound is burning yet oddly relieved by warmth, the person is restless, anxious, and chilly, and red streaks begin to travel from the site. Use as an adjunct to professional care in serious infections, not as a replacement.
Key indications
- Infection spreading from a wound with red streaks up the limb
- Burning pain in the wound area with marked anxiety and restlessness
- Chilly, pale, weak appearance with a fear of death or serious outcome
- Thirst for small sips, worse after midnight, better from warm applications
- Neglected cuts, bites, or scrapes that are becoming hot, swollen, and offensive
Cold, midnight, touch, alone
Warmth, warm drinks, company, gentle motion
200C twice daily. Seek immediate medical attention for any signs of spreading infection or systemic illness.
General guidance only. 200ck may be substituted for 200C potencies. Stop the remedy upon significant improvement. If no improvement after 2-3 doses in acute cases or after 4-6 weeks in chronic cases, try a different remedy. Consult a experienced practitioner if you feel you need additional help for serious or persistent symptoms.
